Coaching
Partnering with you to uncover strengths, set meaningful goals, and build sustainable momentum.
What Coaching Looks Like
Whether you’re navigating a life transition, clarifying your values, strengthening your confidence, or building habits that reflect who you want to be, coaching offers:
A forward-focused, action-oriented partnership
Support in defining clear goals and practical steps
Accountability to help you move those goals into reality
Tools to increase confidence, clarity, and purpose
In coaching, you are the expert of your life, and we walk beside you to help you discover the next steps — with intention and insight.
Coaching for Women in the Motherhood Season
Identity After Motherhood
You used to know who you were.
Now your days revolve around diapers, drop-offs, dinner, and everyone else’s needs — and somewhere along the way, you feel harder to find.
Coaching for identity work helps you:
Reconnect with who you are beyond roles
Clarify your values in this season
Identify what lights you up (again)
Build rhythms that support both motherhood and individuality
Move from survival mode into intentional living
This is not about abandoning your family.
It’s about rediscovering yourself inside it.
Birth Story Integration & Forward Growth
Birth can leave an imprint.
Sometimes you don’t need trauma therapy — you need space to process, reflect, and integrate your story into who you’re becoming.
Coaching in this area focuses on:
Making meaning of your birth experience
Identifying how it shaped you
Reclaiming confidence in your body and voice
Moving forward with strength rather than avoidance
Preparing emotionally for future births (if desired)
If clinical trauma treatment is needed, therapy is the appropriate service. Coaching supports forward growth once you are emotionally stable and ready to build from the experience
Releasing Perfectionism
High-achieving women often become high-pressure mothers.
Perfectionism can sound like:
“I should be able to handle this.”
“Other moms are doing it better.”
“If I slow down, everything will fall apart.”
“I can’t let anyone see me struggle.”
Coaching for perfectionism focuses on:
Identifying unrealistic standards
Building flexible thinking
Developing self-trust over self-criticism
Practicing progress over performance
Creating a motherhood experience that feels freeing, not suffocating
We replace pressure with purpose.
Coaching Services: Grow, Plan, and Move Forward
At Grove Counseling, we believe growth and clarity happen both within and beyond traditional therapy. Our Coaching Services are designed for individuals who are ready to get intentional about their next steps, set meaningful goals, and take action toward the life they want to build — with support, accountability, and focus.
Coaching is different from counseling.
While counseling supports healing from emotional pain, mental health struggles, and life challenges through deeper therapeutic work, coaching focuses on present strengths and future goals. Coaching is not intended to diagnose or treat mental health conditions, nor is it a substitute for therapy when emotional healing or clinical intervention is needed
Who Coaching is For
Coaching may be a great fit if you’re:
Feeling stuck in routines and ready for change
Seeking clarity around goals, relationships, or career
Wanting support with confidence, boundaries, or self-trust
Looking for structured guidance without the focus on mental health diagnosis
Coaching assumes you are whole, capable, and ready to build forward — we help you activate that direction.
A Note About Therapy vs. Coaching
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I offer both counseling and coaching services — but they are distinct.
Coaching is not therapy.
Coaching:
Does not diagnose or treat mental health condition
Does not process acute trauma or clinical symptoms
Focuses on present clarity and future direction
Assumes emotional stability and readiness for forward growth
Therapy:
Addresses anxiety, depression, trauma, relational wounds, and other mental health concerns
May explore past experiences and deeper emotional patterns
Is a clinical service governed by mental health laws and ethical codes
If during coaching we identify concerns that require therapeutic support, we will discuss appropriate next steps.
Both services honor your growth — they simply serve different purposes.
